OUT OF DARKNESS: Fake Movie Trailer

OUT OF DARKNESS: Fake Movie Trailer

I did it all over again. I still had my be-dazzler, so I wrecked havoc on some old video footage and repurposed them HERE with this very fake "movie trailer" for OUT OF DARKNESS.

This is what happens when you have insomnia and can't sleep in the middle of the night.

Bewitching.

Happy Martin Luther King Day! LET'S MAKE LOVE!

HAPPY MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY!

LET'S MAKE LOVE

I hope that you've all celebrated in the true spirit of what today signifies.

And for God's sake - take. the. goddamn. message. I hear many say each year how inspired they are by this special day to carry on the message of love over hate...and then that vigor dissipates. Please don't let it escape you. Keep on it and will find incredible joy in the message that MLK lived and preached every day.

As I mention in this video - everyone is in pain. We need to be comrades and lift each other up in harmony.

I'm going to jump off the soap box now haha! But truly - I mean it. I would make love to all of you (sans my family!)...but you know the act I'm talking about. Make love to each other and soak it all up.

Then I'll always let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours.

MLK! Peace! Love! - Adam

OUR MOST PRIMAL LANGUAGE: The Topography of Tears (sourced originally from Rose-Lynn Fisher)

OUR MOST PRIMAL LANGUAGE:

The Topography of Tears (sourced originally from Rose-Lynn Fisher)

Shedding Tears; Shedding Old Skin
"I don't have time to just float in the universe with you..." - a dear friend of mine.

Tears are one of the most fascinating things I've observed in my short lifetime thus far. Where do they come from? What do they look like? What happens to our body when we cry? How many different reasons can there be to evoke tears? WHY DO I CRY ALL THE TIME? (That last question was for me, because I cry a lot...I find it healthy and cathartic)

I am fascinated by "The Topography of Tears", which was photographed by Rose-Lynn Fisher. Her name in the above title hyperlinks to her official page where I sourced this material. I found this quote of hers most fascinating:

"Tears are the medium of our most primal language in moments as unrelenting as death, as basic as hunger, and as complex as a rite of passage. They are the evidence of our inner life overflowing its boundaries, spilling over into consciousness. Wordless and spontaneous, they release us to the possibility of realignment, reunion, catharsis: shedding tears, shedding old skin. It's as though each one of our tears carries a microcosm of the collective human experience, like one drop of an ocean." - Rose-Lynn Fisher

Each tear is photographed through a light microscope, magnified 100x or 400x. "This series is like an ephemeral atlas...like aerial views of emotional terrain...transient as the fingerprint of someone in a dream.."

I urge you all to check out the photography page and see how our tears tell a larger story about our emotions than we will ever know. Here is a photograph of TEARS OF GRIEF:
GRIEF TEARS

There are a plethora of emotions to view: "Tears of laughing till you're crying, Tears of Change, Onion Tears, Tears of Timeless Reunion, Tears of Ending and Beginning.." and so on.

I'd love to hear what you think about this article HERE

LET'S TALK ABOUT IT...

Peace + Love,
Adam

Words to Live By: ADVICE FOR 2015

LOVE & FORGIVENESS

words to live by:

WORDS TO LIVE BY:
I do NOT forgive people because I’m weak. I forgive them because I am strong enough to understand that people make mistakes.

I beg for all of you to implement this belief into your life. Everyone is human and has faults. People fall down - but if they choose to get up stronger than before, you reap the benefits of believing in love and change.

Some will disappoint you and never change. But I promise you that a portion of those people will surprise you. They will empower you. Lead with LOVE; and you’re never wrong. Just stay honest.

Love you all! HAPPY SATURDAY!

SLEDGEHAMMER: (Music Video Parody Version) Sad to Happy!

SLEDGEHAMMER: (MUSIC VIDEO PARODY VERSION)

Sad to Happy

SLEDGEHAMMER has arrived!
Suffering from the Monday blues? Sad about something? LOOK. NO. FURTHER. Watch me as I parody some of my favorite pop music videos. Let this bring a laugh or smile to your face.

You get to see me in my underwear. That's kind of funny, right!? ;-) I hope you all enjoy. The true message behind this is that if you're ever sad, look within yourself to find what makes you shine the most & literally "dance like no one is watching" (as trite as that sounds, sometimes).NOT saying by any means that I should be in a music video, but let's be honest...we have ALL felt this way deep down once or twice on the dance floor. Whatever that means for you; take it away from this. This is just me being a goofy ass, but it sure made me happy in the context of the video (which mirrors real life anyhow for everyone at some point). Make it what you want.

I sure as hell had fun making this video, as it was based on silliness. I came up with the concept of it coming home one day from work and the imagery suddenly popped in my head. This song is also totally dope, so why not? I channel Jared Leto, Lady Gaga, Fiona Apple, Michael & Janet Jackson, and I've venture to say (someone more extravagant than the previous bunch listed).

Here is my parody video of a modern day pop music video. It seems the trend is that artists will stop at nothing to make you go, "What the f*** are they doing?!" It's almost farcical now. LOL! ENJOY! Peace + Love

Do they miss me in Chicago?

Do they miss me in Chicago? - Daisy Buchanan - "The Great Gatsby"

Something about the way Carey Mulligan asks that question in the Baz Luhrmann film adaptation of "The Great Gatsby" is striking. I just happened to be in Chicago and love Fitzgerald at the same time, so add those components together and throw in the desire to sound artsy and wa-bam! Blog post title is found. The formula works, trust me.

This blog post isn't actually about Chicago. It's not even about me. (Though I throw my love to you Chicago folks!) I wanted to share one of the most compelling pieces of art I've seen in awhile. This is Sia's new music video for "Elastic Heart" featuring Shia LaBeouf and the amazingly haunting Maddie Ziegler. (Aren't we all still recovering from "Chandelier"?)

So there are many opinions about this video, and many strong ones on top of those. Everyone is entitled to their own interpretation of what this video is saying or where it fits into Sia's storytelling as a songwriter. What brought me in is the use of movement and how it's connected to the song. Each move is dripping with emotion. This set me off into "ugly crying" mode. I laugh about it now but at the time it felt so appropriate haha. If it touches you in that way, you'll have yours as well.

Such a beautiful video. Check it out and let me know what you think. Let's talk about it...

AND YOU ALL THOUGHT I WOULD POST SOMETHING ABOUT LADY GAGA. Well, I fooled you there. ;-)

JAMMIN' INTO THE NEW YEAR: Exploration of ArtRAVE Culture

JAMMIN' INTO THE NEW YEAR:

Exploration of ArtRAVE Culture

Happy New Year, everyone! 2015 is going to be a good one.

This is my exploration into observing the party rave culture. Real Adam is MUCH more tame, but it was fun to play the part lol. The colors are pretty as well. The Aragon Theatre is a piece of beauty and the show was invigorating.

Standing inside a place of such warm majesty and history made me feel like time was standing still. It was the first year in a long time that I've done something incredibly memorable. Seeing Zed's Dead live is quite a spectacle of color and emotion.

Wishing everyone a productive and fruitful year ahead! Peace + Love!

Enjoy! - Adam xoxo

New Year's Sleaze: UNCENSORED

NEW YEAR'S EVE SLEAZE: UNCENSORED

Coming to a fake theatre near you in 2015!

Movie parodies are a passion of mine. Cinema making fun of itself is hilarious because it shows a side of humanity that doesn't get revealed as often as it could.

I must state first and foremost the I DO NOT OWN THE RIGHTS TO ANY OF THE LADY GAGA MATERIAL IN THE INCLUDED MOVIE TRAILER. NONE. NEVER. WISH I DID, BUT IT'S NOT THE CASE. NEVER WILL BE. ARE WE CRYSTAL CLEAR?

 PRESS RELEASE 1/1/2015:
"New Year's Eve Sleaze: UNCENSORED" has proven to be the most gritty and ground-breaking teen film to hit the mainstream film market since 1995's "Kids". Plastered with beautiful faces and decadence, this movie reveals the truth behind teenage life today. January 1, 2015 brought us the first trailer glimpse of the film with a few accompanying stills.
**RATING OF FILM IS PENDING - LEANING TOWARDS NC-17 OR UNRATED**
