Well, Adam Cerny learned his lesson the hard way. He decided to leave a VagueBook post saying "Love will fuck you up more than drugs ever will." He was abducted the next day by a Facebook stalker, who had been following him for some time.

After watching and reading through my PART ONE version of this film (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QK9BYod0wxg), I realized that there was more of a story to tell. This is what came out of weeks of emoting, processing, highs and lows, and ultimately, self-discovery. 

I feel like while PART ONE was semi-autobiographical, it spoke more to a fantasy/reality world I wanted to create for viewers. This is a bit more personal in that I wanted to create a space where my mind has been many times. I know that as a collective we have all unpacked in this space more times than we'd probably like to. No shame there, my loves. We're human and imperfect, yet, we're also 100% exactly perfectly made. 

I sing my own versions of "Bang Bang My Baby Shot Me Down", "Nothing" from A CHORUS LINE, and "Dancing on my Own" by Robyn. 

Yes, it's dark. Yes, it's fantasy. This teeters on a fine line between reality and fiction. I hope that this speaks to some of you. 

YOU. ARE. NOT. ALONE.

TRIPPING ON ADAM: A LOVE DRUG

**Before we go any further, please note that I do NOT endorse the use of any hard drugs. That is not what LOVE is about and it's not in line with the fun vibe of this video. Do not mistake the video. The "drug" personifies love.**

I thought it was time to have some fun. The following music video "drug" experience creates a lack of responsibility, but with a vigor of passion. There is no deep message attached here as in my previous films. This means to keep your attention and take you through a trippy journey. 

The main theme here - LOVE.

I use myself as the pill to swallow. I am the LOVE DRUG. Come trip on me. Go slow and breathe. You'll come out of this feeling good about yourself. You'll come to - you'll feel energized - you will empower yourself because it's already inside of you to do so. 

Sip on the Kool-Aid. This is a friendly experience. I'll be with you along the way to guide you through and ensure that this trip is worth it. Use all of your senses. You're alive!

I am so excited to share with you a project I've been asked to participate in weeks ago. As NONE of you may know, I found my TRUE LOVE off of the famous iPhone hookup application, Grindr. A postgraduate student at NYU has asked me to share my experience with the app and how I found my "one and only". 

For the GAYS - if you happen to use Grindr, this honest and inspiring story will resonate with you. If you don't use it - what are you waiting for?! Get on there! A gentleman is waiting to sweep you off your feet. 

For the HETEROS - Tindr just hasn't been cutting it, has it? Move along to Grindr - where TRUE LOVE can be born and foster in a loving environment. This app has everything...

ADAM'S ART MANIFESTO 2: "THE NARCISSIST"

I was so pleased with the wide range of reactions I received from "Adam's ART Manifesto: A Look Back" that I decided to come back and revisit this idea of social media, selfie culture...and most importantly...narcissism. 

I was at a house party back in November where somebody as large as a house told me at first glance, "You are a narcissist." Immediately, I took offense. After reviewing the actual definition of the word several times, I had to give it to this person. They might be correct. You know how they knew? Because of their own lack of self-esteem. It's two polar opposites coming together and identifying something in the other that they lack in themselves. 

I've found that through exploring myself (by going very deep into the core of who I am as a person), there is a part of me that is very narcissistic. This plays directly into the savior complex I've had my whole life that I can "save someone" or help where my help is not actually needed.

Now please don't confuse my narcissism with a lack of empathy. If anything, I have too much empathy. I am not a sociopath. Let's be honest though...actors, performers, musicians, creative types...we're all a bit narcissistic when you look at our core. Does this have to be negative? The answer is NO. 

This Manifesto is about poking fun at myself...once again. Everything you see is a performance...an act...and it's meant to help you self-reflect based on how you perceive the information both visually and emotionally.

I went into a complete hibernation to create this piece of work. I had to. When one takes a moment to shut the outside world out and just focus internally (and I mean REALLY focus)...there are things that rise to the surface that we never expected to find. I found those elements in my life while creating this video. 

So here's an UNCENSORED look into "How to be a Social Media Whore." And just remember, we're all a bit narcissistic. Aren't we? ;-)

Adam's "ART" Manifesto: A Look Back

We should all have an internal and personal declaration to ourselves.

This personal "ART" Manifesto is instead tailored for a public eye. I'm the creative type, and we like to share alllllllll of our emotions and thoughts...on about every topic you can imagine. It's not that I want to push a belief on to you. It's that I use the honesty and candidness of myself to hopefully inspire you to know and like your true self as well. Or don't like that person inside of you. It's all your choice. It's up to you, really. 

I was greatly inspired in a very specific way throughout the last couple months, and I used myself as the way to express it. I channeled everything through social media and used filters such as pop culture, music, dance, painting, selfie culture, visual references, pure honest talks to the audience (yourselves), and many more avenues. 

It doesn't matter if you understand what you see in this video because that isn't the purpose of why I'm doing it. You need to draw your own conclusions and find what it can mean for you. Notice that I use the phrase, "what it CAN mean for you". 

Even the honest talks to the audience are part of the show. From start to finish, you are going to be somewhere halfway between a music video, a selfie culture-inspired political speech, a bathhouse, a church and reality. 

**YOU MUST TAKE NOTE THAT THIS VIDEO IS 15 MINUTES LONG. IT MOVES AT RAPID FIRE THOUGH, AND IS COMPRISED OF MONTAGE, MONOLOGUE, SPECTATOR DIALOGUE, AND FUN ANNOTATIONS**

I'm now inspired in brand new ways and finding different areas to channel. Everything feels different, and yet it can almost feel exactly the same. What I do know is that this last chapter has been a roller coaster of a ride, and it's certainly reflected in the mood and visual nature of what you're going to see. I had to capture it in the gayest, most honest and sexual way with tenderness and true devout love. All encapsulated here.

** "Adam's ART Manifesto: A Look Back"- Imagine yourself in a music video, an SNL skit, a church, a bedroom blogger's domain, and then mix in a sweet message to boot! An inspirational look back at the past couple months and a hilarious look into the "Selfie culture", which I find fascinating and terrifying. 

** "ONE DAY: A Modern Dance Dream" - Originally, this was going to be a Fifty Shades of Grey- inspired short. Suddenly it felt trite and kind of lame to me. The inspiration evolved organically into this sort of modern dance daydream. Lots of music to set the mood and a plethora of slow-motion hair flips to keep us all entertained.

Movie parodies are a passion of mine. Cinema making fun of itself is hilarious because it shows a side of humanity that doesn't get revealed as often as it could.
