PAPARAZZI: MATCHING VISUALS TO SOUNDS; BEAT DETECTION /ˌpɑːpəˈrɑːtsi/ by Adam Cerny

PAPARAZZI: MATCHING VISUALS TO SOUNDS; BEAT DETECTION /ˌpɑːpəˈrɑːtsi/
by Adam Cerny

I admire musical artists who recognize the importance of how to introduce visuals to a song they produce. The birth of the "music video" introduced musicians to a new way to reach their audience. A prime example of success in this would be Queen's music video for Bohemian Rhapsody. To create an image that will stay in people's minds is quite a feat. If you haven't seen that music video, head on over to YouTube immediately and enjoy.

Beat detection + audio analysis fascinates me. Why do I create so many music videos? Sonically and visually - it turns me on. It has very little to do with a showcase (this isn't a talent show), but everything to do with individual interpretation. How the visuals enhance a beat can make or break a peak experience. That experience feedback is what turns me on. The feeling. Not the admiration. The perception.

My goal is not to give you visual whiplash or cause dizziness (or maybe it is), but more so, to make you feel the beat inside of your own body.

I am, by no stretch of the imagination, an editor or a music video director. I don't claim to be. I am, however, an artist. Here, is a canvas I've created, for you. I've specifically chosen Fernando Garibay's remix of Lady Gaga's Paparazzi because he is a producer who has mastered the art of beats within any given song. I like juxtapositions because they're effective. They disrupt thought patterns.

The message of the song will always resonate with me. Success or love? Can you have both? Or is it one or the other? What price are you willing to pay for fame or admiration? I feel, in my own life, there is always a turnover. You gain one and lose the other. Vice-versa.

I hope you enjoy my visuals. I hope it makes you thump. AND - someday it'd be nice to have someone else join me in these videos. It can be stale and a bit static only filming myself. However, I am a prime example of what one can accomplish with only an iPhone 8 Plus, a song, and iMovie. No special equipment and no fancy software. Raw.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: MOTEL - EP1 CANCELLATION (OPENING SEQUENCE) By Adam Cerny

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: MOTEL - EP1 CANCELLATION (OPENING SEQUENCE) By Adam Cerny

**Based on actual events that occurred on September 12, 1980, in Iowa**
For some background, the title sequence teaser for this parody version of FX's "American Horror Story: Hotel" (under the pseudo-disguise with the "Motel" component) can be found HERE - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1VZobJsfIU
This is the second and final teaser before the full first episode is revealed. Episode One: Cancellation (Opening Sequence) introduces us to the haunted and creepy Motel Hortez (Hotel Cortez, anyone?). John Doe (Adam Cerny), is introduced as the latest case of mishaps and misfortunes at the Hortez.
The full episode (soon to come) will introduce two new characters in the present day, played by Derek Lamar and Becca Meumann Johnson. While you will find some similarities between this and the current FX show, this stands alone as a fun parody and tribute. Try to not take it too seriously. Have some fun. ;-)
Enjoy and thank you for watching!
